Hello fellow eDCSD families. My name is Alea Gardner, I’m a junior in high school currently living in Zhuhai, China with my parents and younger brother. This is both my brother and my first time doing home school/online school. Never in my life would I have expected to be so incredibly grateful for the amazing flexibility it allows me. For the past few months my mom and I have had the awesome opportunity to volunteer at the local orphanage. I am able to commit my time both to school and these unique children whom I am so blessed to have encountered. We are in the continual process of learning Chinese, exploring our surroundings, and making friendships with the locals. Our everyday lives are an adventure from going to the market to taking the public bus. The items we have learned here, the worldly knowledge we have experienced, and the surreal experience we get to call our lives has been such a blessing. Without online school most of this would not be possible. I am extraordinarily grateful for the staff and all of the help they given us. This truly is a remarkable school and I am so glad to be a part of it and look forward to continuing through next year.
Graduation will be held in the auditorium at Rock Canyon High School on May 26th at 1pm. Rock Canyon is located at 5810 McArthur Ranch Rd. Highlands Ranch, CO 80124

While we are very pleased with the overall responses from the surveys, there are certainly some areas we will continue emphasizing improvement. Specifically, we intend to focus on meaningful feedback and insuring students and parents know where to find those comments. We will also continue striving to improve the connectivity among students, parents, staff and administration.
In addition, we anticipate clarifying questions for our next survey in an attempt to alleviate opportunities for multiple interpretations.
